November Ministy Update

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I went to Taos, New Mexico with my family and we stayed in a cabin in the mountains. It was a beautiful and refreshing break! This month was full of joy and thanksgiving being in community with these students. Thank you so much for your investment in these students. Above is a picture of a Thursday Night FOCUS sermon!

Hangout at Sandra's!!!

Sandra, my fellow woman's pastor, lives about 7 minutes from campus. She has graciously been welcoming students into her home once a month for a home-cooked meal and fellowship. We have a good amount of Vietnamese students in our ministry, so we made Bahn Mi which is a sandwich with usually pulled pork and pickled veggies. It was delicious!

Below is a picture of two of our Vietnamese students. Jimmy on the right actually made most of the food for this hangout. He is an amazing chef and has such a big heart for others. He has grown up Buddhist but has recently been studying the Bible.

Below are a couple more photos from the hangout. The first one is some of our boys loving on Grace. Grace is the daughter of one of our students who is a single mom. Her mom and I have been studying the Bible together and growing a sweet friendship. Grace is so loved within the community and it warms my heart every time to see it!

Pizza Theology: The Book of Revelation

Every semester we put on a pizza theology. This is open to all of the FOCUS campuses and is honestly one of my favorite events that we put on. It consists of about 3-4 hours of lectures that hit different aspects of a topic at a college level and then 1 hour of pizza! The whole point of this event is to get students thinking about theological topics at a college level.

This time we did it over the Book of Revelation. If you would like to give it a listen (I highly recommend that you do) you can find it here: Pizza Theology: The Book of Revelation And you can access the packet that goes along with it here: Pizza Theo Packet

Below is a picture of us eating some pizza during dinner!

Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers. I can't thank you enough. I hope you have a lovely Christmas and a happy new year!!!

In Christ,

Claire
